Helping Communities Show Up Well

Resources for Stronger Foster Care Collaboration

Bonus Resource: If you came here from our newsletter, we’ve added one more foster care collaboration resource below: a conversation about why meaningful work for children and families is too big for any one person, church, or organization to do alone.

Our mission at The Village is to guide, equip, and connect local churches to care for vulnerable children and families in their communities. Sometimes that means connecting people with one another. Other times, it means sharing tools that can help us work together more effectively.

Building communities that show up takes more than good intentions. It takes relationships, trust, shared goals, and a willingness to learn from one another. These resources from our national partners offer practical ideas for strengthening collaboration and helping each of us better understand the part we can play.

We hope they encourage and equip you as we work toward a West Virginia where there is “More Than Enough” support for children and families before, during, and beyond foster care.

A group of individuals talk and laugh at a foster care focused event, illustrating foster care collaboration and relationship building in West Virginia.
